Homeless Ministry Donation

Last night I was able to make a donation to a homeless ministry that a friend's family operates. I wanted to share here what all I got for less than $22.00 by getting free samples, and pairing up coupons with sales.

First, here is a picture of what I purchased at Kroger yesterday:

Ok, so the picture is a bit misleading, but there are actually several boxes behind those in front. Here's a breakdown of what I got, and how much they cost after coupons combined with the sale price:

(4) Cheerios $3.92 ($0.98 each)
(6) Hamburger Helpers $3.84 ($0.64 each)
(4) Fruit Rollups $1.46 ($0.36 each)
(2) Muffin Mix $1.45 ($0.72 each)
(1) Chex Mix FREE plus $0.01 overage
(2) Right Guard Deodorant $0.50 ($0.25 each)
(1) Purex Laundry Detergent $1.29
(5) Fiber One Granola Bars $0.95 ($0.19 each)
(4) Golden Grahams Cereal Bars $1.96 ($0.49 each)

Then I also had a small stockpile at home that I donated with the above:

(1) 2 Liter Lemonade FREE
(2) Gillette Men's Body Wash FREE plus $0.02 overage
(2) V05 Shampoo $1.20 ($0.60 each)
(4) Spaghetti O's FREE plus $0.04 overage
(1) SpeedStick Deodorant FREE plus $0.12 overage
(1) FREE sample of Pantene Shampoo & Conditioner
(1) FREE sample of Pampers Diapers
(1) FREE sample of Baby Formula
(4) JellO Pudding $0.80 ($0.20 each)
(3) Hamburger Helpers $1.47 ($0.49 each)
(1) Earth's Best Crackers $0.99
(2) Annie's Macaroni & Cheese $0.98 ($0.49 each)
(3) Various Name Brand Toothbrushes FREE

I usually try to find more personal hygiene items to donate, but haven't had much luck finding many right now. However, this should help put some things in their food pantry!

Now, don't you think you have $20.00 you could stretch like this and feed someone who is hungry?

PROVERBS 22:9 "A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor."
